The Responsibilities of Intellectuals

The responsibilities of intellectuals:

#
is not being satisfied living in a city
working as a slave of capitalism
nor drawn in his/her own business
nor in the lab only

but to go out
to the lands that need help
to the people that are suffering
to the nature that is being destroyed

#
theories are never perfect
we have theories in place already
what’s urgently in need is action
real changes, transitions, revolutions

along the way we explore
with actions we implement
the dynamic process never ends
theories are never perfect

for each and every aspect of SDG
scientists have worked so hard
economics and politicians as well
we have theories in place already

yet we don’t have time for perfection
we don’t have time for arguments
the second hand of doomsday clock is drawing close to midnight
what’s urgently in need is action

go out to plant trees
go on the street to plead for better policies
think of the world more than of yourself
bring on real changes, transitions, revolutions
